Inter-Unit Kite Design Competition

The Inter-unit Kite Design Competition was held on 22 June 2011 and organized by 9 NCDCC schools. It was held at Bowen Secondary School. The objective of this event is to allow us to display our creativity in designing a logo for NCDCC’s Urban Adventure Challenge 2011 as well as designing based on the theme, “My NCDCC”. There were 9 secondary schools participating, namely, Admiralty, Bowen, Changkat Changi, CHIJ Katong Convent, Christ Church, Evergreen, Kent Ridge, Pioneer and St Patrick’s.

6 of us worked together as a team to design two kites, a diamond and a delta kite, based on the two themes. We were given two hours to design the kites. Admiralty Sec NCDCC has done a great job but unfortunately we did not win any of the awards. Nevertheless, we had a great time. We shared ideas, brainstormed together and came up with different designs. I learnt more about my team mates too! I look forward to more of these competitions in time to come!
